THE NEW WEST HERITAGE RIDERS

2011 Events

The New West Heritage Riders were not very active during the spring and summer this year. Spring/summer flooding, continued rains that cancelled practice and events, and many main closed road conditions for several of our rural members were the main issues that members had to deal with. With late spring planting and late haying, the rural members were also often helping their husbands with farm/ranch issues, so could not make it to events. Plus a few members had college cutting the summer short.

However, some members of the group has manage to get together to ride in a few practices to continue training members and horses, and also attended a few trail rides with Heer/Severson Trails, and that was a lot of fun. We will post pictures of events as they become available.

July 16th-17th 2011 - Fort Ransom, ND - Heer/Severson Trail Ride
This trail ride was cut down to a half day on Saturday July 26th, due to extreme heat and humidity.

Fri-Sun, Aug. 12-14 - Sica (she-cha) Hollow Sisseton, SD - Heer/Severson Trail Ride.
Members able to go, had a nice time on this trail ride, even though some muddy trails.
